If this is not a deterrent for those who get a kick out of forcing females against their will, I cannot think of another. Who feels it knows it. Rape….. invasion of one’s ‘temple’ against their will, or upon a minor, elderly is one of the most evil acts facing mankind. Scars left by these acts hardly disappear often times affecting the victims for a life time.
There are some crimes that the punishment must be as gruesome, painful and scarring as what was inflicted. No use quoting scripture at this time. We make the best of the good book the Bible, and until the world ends, ‘man’ must govern in like manner to what they are faced with.
All rapes should have the sex organ removed if you ask me. Many sex crimes find the perps reoffending once they are released from prison. So if the offending organs is not there, how much damage can they cause once released. Save your chant about rehabilitation and reformation. Those two only work if the perps want to change. Deterrent/prevention is what must be strived for. As there are petty crimes, with punishment fitting, gruesome crimes, rape, must have a consequence that would make wannabe ‘rape..rs’ quiver. If they don’t, then it is obvious they wish to be castrated. Either way, justice would be served.
Funny how our religious folks have no vision and seem to let ‘pervs’ masquerading as gurus, spiritual advisors, pastors come into their homes and have full reign of the household especially the young ones. I believe parents, guardians should stop trusting the men in cloth far more than they trust their own selves. Become an active participant in your child’s healing ensuring you are present in all visits if counselling is required, or otherwise. Far too often our adults are leaving their minors in the company of others when the truth be told, they know nothing about their lifestyle.

Indian woman cuts off penis over rape attempt

NEW DELHI, India (AFP) — An Indian woman cut off a man’s penis after he allegedly tried to rape her at her house in the southern state of Kerala, police said on Saturday.
The 23-year-old law student was at her residence in the state capital Thiruvananthapuram late Friday, when she says she was attacked by the 54-year-old man, who had claimed to her family to be a religious guru.
“She used a knife in her defence and cut off his penis,” district police chief G Sparjan Kumar told AFP by phone.
“The man, Hari Swami, was rushed to the nearby government hospital in a serious state,” he added.
The local media reported that Swami was in a stable condition after undergoing emergency medical procedures at the local hospital.
The woman claimed the man had been assaulting her for several years, according to Kumar, who said police had registered a case against Swami for sexual offences against a minor and rape.
Police said the girl’s parents, who live at the same house, were unaware of the assaults by Swami.
The woman told us that her parents blindly trusted this Swami, and he used to get frequent invites to perform special ceremonies and stay over at their house, where he assaulted her,” Kumar told AFP.
She is now under police protection and receiving trauma counselling.
There have been other recent incidents of sexual assault involving religious men in the southern Indian state.
Two nuns and a priest, accused of covering up the birth of a baby born to a teenage girl who was allegedly raped by another priest, were arrested in Kerala last month.
Last year, a priest was sentenced to 40 years in prison by a Kerala court for raping a 12-year-old girl in 2014.
